I pinned this fabulous decor solution for “dividing” a loft or studio space into separate living / sleeping areas, and am still struck by the elegance of this room. (The design is by Tobi Fairley Interior Design. The total home will surprise you! Check out Glenwood.) The more I look at this photo, the more I see what a clever solution the draperies have supplied to this home: surely the drape can be pulled to nearly encircle the bed. The touches of blue echo in both spaces; and the small touches of orange – pillows matching that open-wood side table – give these rooms an additional visual punch.

Another bedroom design, also by Tobi Fairley, is this wall of curtains:

This type of “dramatic backdrop” is something I need for my guest bedroom. The room is fairly small and the iron-and-brass bed (antique scrollwork!) is situated directly in front of a window — but the full-sized bed is wider than the window. A wall of fabric (especially such gorgeous, voluminous draperies as shown above) would make the placement of the bed look less due to happenstance and more “by design”!

{And don’t you just *love* the plaid duvet cover
and charming Monogram on the pillow??

A GREAT “ideas” feast from HGTV:

The above, entitled “New Neutrals“, brings the outdoors in, “creating a tranquil setting for sleep and relaxation”.

What else is “trending” at the moment, you ask?!

Soft Green” – “with touches of blue for a soft palette ideal for a bedroom”

In the Pink” – “bold hues” for a “warm and sophisticated feeling”.

Lavender Glamour” – teamed with “vibrant gold” this bedroom offers a “non-traditional look”.

The “Princess Room” – combines lavender and green for “sweet and traditional colors”. I love the canopy!

“It’s all about the colors combined with the fabric patterns”. Read all of Jennifer Haupt’s accompanying article — and see the breath-taking bedrooms, by visiting HGTV. You’ll come away with “a personal space that expresses your innermost desires“!
